The R33 was Nissan's ninth edition of the Skyline and despite being slightly heavier than its predecessors it used a 2.5-litre straight six engine with the option of none, single or twin turbos and rear or four wheel drive. Today the R33 remains a firm favourite for tuning. The specification to the right shows the performance and power figures for the standard car, however there are some R33 models producing up to 1000 bhp.
The Skyline has been concluded in the past as combining a genuine four seater, reliability and ease of use with sledgehammer power.
